How do Light form?

Light is a form of energy called electromagnetic radiation, which travels as invisible waves. Our most important source of Light is the Sun, but Light can be also be produced artificially using electricity or fire. Lenses and mirrors enable us to use Light to form images and to see tiny or distant objects.

Speed of Light

Light travels through spaces with an amazing speed of 299,792.5 km/s(186,287.5 miles/s). Light travels more slowly in different substances: in water, for example, it travels at about 225,000 km/s, and in glass at about 200,000 km/s. Light always travels in straight lines called rays, but its direction can be deflected by objects in its path.

Telephone and mobile are very familiar to all of us. There are many differences between them, but there is only one common use-Calling. Do you know how they work?

"I will give you a call", we often say to our friends, but we rarely wonder how it is that, only a few seconds after entering a number on keypad, we can be speaking to a friend many kilometers away-even on other side of the world. A Telephone is a device that transforms a person's voice into an electrical signal made up of varying electric currents. This signal travels along copper cables to reach its destination. Sometimes, it is changed into pulses of light and sent along thin glass stands called optical fibers. The signal can also be transmitted as radio waves or microwaves.

Mobile phone allow the freedom to make calls from almost any where because they are not physically connected to the Telephone Network. They send and receive calls as radio wave signals. Mobile phone Technology is fast evolving so that the hand-held devices can now also send text messages, e-mails, video calls, as well as connect to the Internet.

The number of Telephones in the world is getting reduced. Most of the people are depending on mobile phones, because it is easy to carry, all facilities are available like WiFi, Bluetooth,camera, Gprs etc. It brings new style to the new generation. Now it became the most essential thing of day today life.

Technology made many changes in our life. Modern electrical equipments, vehicles, etc made me to listen on Technology. Modern Technology has totally influenced our life. The science of putting inventions and discoveries into practical use is known as Technology. A scientist discovers scientific principles, properties, and processes, while engineers use that knowledge to build machines and structures. Technology began in prehistoric times, but did not have major impact until the 18th and 19th centuries. Then a host of new technologies sprang up, spawning a revolution in industry and at home. Today, it is information technology that is bringing about another major revolution.

Modern Technology

The foundations of modern technology were laid in the 1700, at the beginning of Industrial Revolution. Inventions transformed traditional craft-based industries into factory based onces. Key inventions, such as the spinning jenny(1764) and watt's steam engine(1775), provided the materials, machines and power necessary for technology to develop.

The world seems to be shrinking thanks to modern telecommunications, which enables us to send messages across the globe in an instant. Telecommunications in use of technology to send and receive information-such as speech, music, pictures, and documents-over long distance. The device that make this possible include telephones, radios, satellites, televisions and computers. The forerunner of modern telecommunications was the telegraph, which sent messages by electrical wires.

However, e-mailing from a computer now allows all king of information to be send instantly around the world, including large computer files. Most people E-mail from computers, but e-mail is also becoming avaliable on other devices, including telephone/e mail machines, such as the one pictured, mobile phones, and even televisions with a digital connection and a key board.

The search giant gobbled up 44.1 pre cent of the global internet advertising market share in 2010, says the study. That's up from 41.9 per cent the previous year. It predicts that global ad expenditures will end this year at $464 billion and rise to $486 billion in 2012. Online ads will continue to grow much faster than any medium, however, with web spending projected to jump from 15.9 per cent in 2011 to 21.2 per cent in 2014.
